Initial spark
In the early 2000s, I learned kite buggying and was immediately fascinated by the possibilities and speed, which led me to participate in national and international regattas shortly after. Naturally, with products from LIBRE, which have accompanied me to this day.
Kite Buggy School
Kemnader See, Witten
In 2008, after completing instructor training, I opened a kite buggy school with 60,000 square meters of space at Kemnader See.
There, I was able to pass on my knowledge and train many students. Later, I expanded my portfolio of sports to include kite landboarding and land sailing.
World of Wind, Borkum
In 2015, I received a request to open a kite land sailing school on the North Sea island of Borkum, which started in March 2016 with the World of Wind; naturally, again with products from LIBRE. In 2019, the school was expanded with offerings for water sports.
Libre
After years of collaboration with LIBRE, a personal friendship with its owners Gertraude and Hans Hauser has also developed. In 2025, I then got the opportunity to take over and further develop the land sailing kitesailing divisions from LIBRE.
Why Libre?
For over 20 years, I have been able to get to know LIBRE’s products.
What always impressed me was the development process: Starting with an idea, followed by a drawing and a design, then the production of prototypes, which were thoroughly tested on the beach by a team. Only when everything was perfect did series production begin, which always impressed with the highest quality. That’s why LIBRE!
